Unfolding Natural History of Life
"We wanted a piece of art that could bring us all together and make us understand that life is integrated through the cellular and genomic make up of living organisms, whatever they might be."
— Dale Wahlstrom, CEO, BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota and Life Science Alley

Framed work measures 3 feet x 6 feet
The BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota wanted to communicate how DNA is the fundamental link in the region's wide-ranging biotech industries. To help this outreach effort, Dale Wahlstrom, CEO, commissioned this work of art.
The large, 4 x 6 foot work visually narrates the history behind the historic molecule. The original pigment print is framed and hanging in BBAM's Minneapolis office. (See it in the slide above).
I designed a gallery style poster, greeting cards, and a storyboard that decodes the icons in the art work. See the storyboard here. The poster and cards are available for purchase on the BBAM web site.
The work was unveiled the Fall of 2010 to an audience of 130 people from the Life Science community. I explained the icons and symbolism in the artwork in a Power Point presentation. Read about the talk here.
