The science story.

Each notecard features a different model organism used in scientific research, with an illustration on the front and an explanation of the research on the back. The artwork includes:

• Solanum lycopersicum:  Bright red CRISPR tomatoes are edited to form small, tight clusters
• Arabidopsis thaliana:  The tiny plants have delicate white flowers—shown enlarged five times!
• Zea mays:  Maize (corn) and the many colors that mobile elements (transposons) create
