The Twirling Helix print is dated, signed, and assembled with a white, acid-free mat and backing board. Please tell your framer to use conservation-quality materials.
Size: The artwork measures about 4 x 6 inches and is secured on a backing board behind the mat window. The white mat measures 8 x 10 inches and fits in a standard 8 x 10-inch frame.

The Twirling Helix artwork begins with pencil on paper to shape the composition; then, portions are painted and digitized. Using digital tools, I add layers of translucent colors to capture the double helix’s flowing shape and dynamic quality.
DNA in the nucleus is packaged into chromosomes that twist and bend to bring parts close together to activate genes. It’s how the magnificent genome works!
